How we compare
eSIM prices.
We match plans by destination, total data in GB and validity in days. Every displayed comparison includes PikoeSIM and at least one competitor with that exact allowance and duration.
Which plans qualify
We compare single-country, fixed total-data plans from PikoeSIM, Yesim, Roamless and MobiMatter. Unlimited plans, daily allowances, pay-as-you-go plans, regional and global bundles, free trials and top-ups are excluded.
Data and validity must both match exactly. A 5 GB plan for 15 days is not compared with 5 GB for 30 days. If a country has no qualifying PikoeSIM plan with an exact competitor match, it is left out of the destination index.
Where prices come from
Prices come from recorded provider country listings. Each page links to the supplied provider country URLs, both in the tables and under “Provider websites”. These links open the provider’s country catalogue; they are not direct checkout links for a selected plan.
We use the recorded USD price without currency conversion or estimated substitutes. If a provider has several offers with the same allowance and validity, the table shows its lowest recorded price. We retain the selected plan identifier and the other source offers so that the choice can be checked.
How price highlights and differences work
A price winner requires at least two exact matching offers and known inventory status for all four providers. A verified collection containing no qualifying plans counts as known inventory. Missing or unverified inventory prevents a winner claim.
The lowest price receives the highlight, regardless of provider. Equal lowest prices share it. A table’s price-difference row compares each provider with that lowest price. The verdict compares it with the highest-priced matching offer. Percentage differences use that comparison price as the denominator.
“Lowest compared” refers to the offers in that table. It is not a claim about every eSIM on the market or a judgment of network quality.
What unavailable offers mean
- No exact matching plan
- The provider has qualifying plans in its captured country inventory, but none with both the displayed data allowance and validity.
- No qualifying plans in captured inventory
- The captured country collection was verified, but it contained no plans that meet these comparison rules.
- Missing / unverified inventory
- The source records do not establish the provider’s qualifying country inventory.
None of these labels means a zero price or proves that the provider does not serve the destination.
How we check the results
Automated checks compare every displayed price with its source record, confirm both matching fields, verify the lowest offer was selected and check the provider link. Separate checks cover country mappings, duplicate offers, ties and incomplete inventory.
Country summaries use the same validated rows as the tables. They link to the comparisons that support their price examples. Each table has its own link so readers can refer to a specific allowance and duration.
Price changes and service differences
The tables use recorded prices rather than a live checkout feed. A price change requires new provider records that pass the same comparison checks. Confirm the final price with the provider before paying.
Matching data and validity does not establish equal networks, coverage, speeds, hotspot support or other features. Check those terms directly with the provider. Roam Index publishes price comparisons, not product reviews or ratings.
